This is one I forgot to post. I did this one in Mission Viejo about a few months ago.

Artsplash! - Carlsbad

My day started off a doozey! I could not believe that there would be traffic on a Saturday morning to Carlsbad?! So, what should have been a 1 1/2hr drive turned into a two hour drive. When I arrive, I forget all about the traffic, the truck that tailgates and the spilled coffee on my lap from the 50,000 stops. I am now at my destination! A place where I get to do what I love and get a tan at the same time. How cool is that? I walk up to the registration table happy as can be, and they don't have me on there lists of artist! I was very disturbed. After all I just drove 85 miles here! So I decided to hang tight and wait for a no show. So I wait....and wait....and wait. And then finally I get a call around noon, theres a no show! I was so happy, now I could chalk it up! But then she tells me it is a 8x12! Yikes, that is huge! Most artist have help but I'm flying solo! What should I do? Well this is what I came up with. Hope you like it.

Temecula Chalk Festival

This was my second year at this festival. It was not as hot as it was last year although it was not as windy last year as it was this year either. It was great to see alot of familiar faces and I look forward to seeing you all at Art Splash in Carlsbad.

June 15, 2008

Thank you all for coming out and supporting the Pasadena Chalk Festival. It was a blast!
It was my first time participating in this annual event but certainly not my last. The music, the free Starbucks samples (super yummy) and the all around vibe of the very artistic peeps made the event totally cool. I especially love the compliments on my piece, thank you! You know who you are. I think the kids are the best critics, they just tell it like it is. You cant improve in anything you do without their honest opinion. See you next year! And don't forget to come visit me in Temecula at the chalk fair in Old Town.(June 28th & 29th)
